Have fun in the forest
Squidgy
The Squirrel
Everyone loves to go for a walk in the forest. There is so much to see and do, but do we really get the most out of or our visit, and do we really appreciate who lives there and what the forest and trees do for us?
Walking in the forest
“Have FUN when you visit the Forest,” says Squidgy the squirrel, “but leave everything as you found it. This will help keep all the animals and wildlife safe as the forest is their home.”

Walking in the forest is a fun thing to do, but whatever your reason you need to be prepared.
Forest Frank’s Things to think about when you visit the Forest.
Be prepared
It is important to know what the weather is going to be like on your walk because you will need to dress accordingly and be prepared for a change in the weather!
For example: You might look outside of your window and think the weather looks fine, but the weather might be different in the forest. In the forest the trees will shade you from the Sunshine, so it might be cooler there and it might even rain - So what can you do?
It might be a good idea to take some raincoats and warm cloths with you.
* Top-Tip - Carry a rucksack.
Rucksacks are very useful things - you can put everything inside them you need and keep everything dry.
* What is the Weather like today in the Forest?
Sometimes Forest Frank walks to fast when he visits the forest. Polly likes to take her time and look out for squirrels!
All of this running around looking for squirrels makes Polly warm, so she always takes her coat off and Forest Frank pops it in his rucksack.
Important Note!
If you do take your pets with you for a walk in the forest, you must keep them under control, as we do not really want them chasing the wildlife.
