Glossary
Fuddles – Many thousands of years ago, some humans moved to a different Universe. Here they became Fuddles and evolved to be slightly different. They still look human like us, but:
-
They can live and still look young for a thousand years,
-
They have super-intelligence!
-
And they never usually forget a single thing they are told.
Most of the Fuddles live on Planet Fuddle, a small orange Planet hidden away from Planet Earth’s view, some Ten Million Wiggles past the Moon (see Planet Fuddle). If you look carefully from Planet Earth, you can sometimes see it, especially when the Moon is full and the glow around the edge of it appears orange.
Willey What'Nott – becomes Trickletown's hero as he and his friends travel through time, risking everything to help protect Trickletown, Planet Earth and the Guardian Treasures from the Mists of Time.
“Willey What’Nott was our Knick-Knack Tree Adventurer.
He was very easy to recognise, with a glorious well-kept crest of ginger hair, and usually dressed in a T-shirt and jeans, plus a bright red jacket. Casual but smart, as he liked to call it; and always ready for an adventure.
Commander Fortior Simul – Leader of the squadron forces of The Sovereign Planet and ultimate leader of the Crystal Universe. Commander Simul, uses all the powers of the Guardian Treasures as he attempts to save his civilisation from the menacing 'Mists of Time'. He is ruthless, but kind at heart, which is the reason he keeps getting into trouble! This might ultimately prove to be his down-fall!
Commander Fortior Simul lives in Trickletown Valleys' Crater, under the alias of 'Mr What'Knott' - wearer of the Emerald Ring and most important Fuddle living in Trickletown.
The Talking Teapot – An extraordinary character and companion for Willey What'Nott, as he embarks on his Knick-Knack Tree Adventures. The Talking Teapot lives in a den beneath the Knick-Knack tree's roots and is usually just a teapot! However, he often awakes in times of trouble, turning into a small boy to lend a hand. Drinking water from his spout allows birds and animals to talk and so, he is usually in great demand.
A brand new Super-Hero has arrived on Planet Earth, Dudley – Keeper of Secrets.
Dudley does not like bullying:
-
STOP Bullying each other!
-
STOP Bullying our Planet!
The Grass Army – A depleted regiment of miniature soldiers, who, as their names suggest, are made of grass – Captain Couch-Grass, Sergeant Dog’s-Tail, Corporal Hay-Maker, Privates Timothy, Foxtail, Cock’s-Foot and Flattergrass. They are led by Colonel Tuft, a loveable rogue. Together they patrol the edges of the Emerald Forest in Trickletown Valleys' Crater, protecting the inhabitants from danger.
Colonel Tuft – 455 Regiment, Trickletown Valleys’ Under-Cover Grass Army. Colonel Tuft is a loveable tuft of grass, who is always getting his soldiers into scrapes, as they do their best to protect anyone in danger. To the annoyance of Colonel Tuft, they are often rescued by a magic Rainbow Hopper called Pickle.
Pickle –The Magic Rainbow Hopper – a loveable, friendly character who uses magic to sort thing out. Pickle's magic spells are often amusing, because he loves to play tricks! Usually on Colonel Tuft, who does not find this very amusing.
The Pie-Rat Gang – travel around the universe in their Galleon HMS Rattle, collecting ingredients to make new pies. This all appears to be very innocent until you realise their favourite recipe is: Fuddle Pie! Rooter, the leader of the Pie-Rats is easygoing and not really dangerous! However, two of his gang (Spike & Rascle) are not to be trusted.
Million Wiggle Fish (Guardian Treasure) – Colourful, intelligent fish with powers of their own – powers so extraordinary, everyone in the universe wanted them. The fish can help you travel through time; they can take you to places we can only dream about; and they can warn you and guide you away from danger. In fact, one or another of these colourful fish can do almost anything you imagined. Each type was a different colour of the rainbow.
Million wiggle fish consider themselves too important to be chosen by a Fuddle! First you would need to purchase a Wiggly-Fish Jar, from one of the corner shops, place it on a bench outside the shop, from which eventually a Wiggly Fish Barrowman will pick it up and wheel it ceremoniously across Trickletown's Gambit. Once permission has been granted by a Wiggly-Fish Fisherman, the jar is carefully placed on one of fourteen riverbanks. You might then need to wait several hours before a million wiggle fish chooses you, and willingly leaps headlong into your jar.
Wiggly-Fish Barrowman – There are fourteen Wiggly-Fish Barrowman. They work in pairs and each pair dresses themselves and their barrows in one particular colour of the rainbow - they look spectacular! They pick up the Wiggly-Fish Jars Fuddles have purchased and placed on benches outside their corner shops. Then travelling ceremoniously across Trickletown Gambit, they gain permission from a Wiggly-Fish Fisherman, before carefully placing the jar on a riverbank. It is then just a matter of time before a Million Wiggle Fish chooses a fuddle, by willingly leaping into their jar.
The Knick-Knack Tree – is not just living, it can breathe, it is alive! Hanging on the tree's branches are many Knick-Knacks, each one a special reminder of a 'Knick-Knack Tree Adventure'. Many travellers visit the tree to and listen to Knicky-Knacky (the trees companion) tell the stories of these adventures. The Knick-Knack Tree itself holds many secrets – its roots form passageways leading forwards and backwards in time, and provided you know where you are going they can take you anywhere you wished.
Knicky-Knacky – a tiny elf-like character, is the Knick-Knack Tree's closest companion. He lives in a cosy den among the Tree’s roots, and whenever a Knick-Knack was chosen, he would appear from his den and begin to tell everyone its story …
The Mists of Time – The Mists of Time are dangerous, they have a mind of their own. The mist inside them is so thick, that the past, the present, and the future tangle together. You could soon get lost inside them, and there are many who have entered them who have never been seen again.
The Mists of Time are the Fuddles worst enemy, they are trying to steel the Guardian Treasures of the Crystal Universe and will do anything to get hold of them. They have surrounded Trickletown Valleys' Crater, as they believe this is where the Guardian Treasures are hidden.
The shielding powers of the Guardian Treasures and the Crystal Planets are together so powerful, that the Mists of Time cannot get near them. However, The Mists of Time are powerful too, and growing stronger! They were secretly searching through Planet Earth’s history, gathering ancient armies to help them steel the Guardian Treasures for themselves.
Trickletown Valleys' Crater – Hidden somewhere here on Planet Earth there is a crater: Trickletown Valleys' Crater. It is a place where adventures begin and dreams come true. But you would be very lucky to find it, as it is hidden in a thick grey mist, 'The Mists of Time'.
Trickletown – The Fuddles built Trickletown. Seven hamlets full of colourful houses, set between seven river valleys; and seven cobbled streets, each one paved in a different colour of the rainbow, wound past forests and mountains. Inside a circular road named Inner Street, the Fuddles left an area of grass they called 'The Gambit'.
It was a place they could go to think, but The Gambit was so much more than just an area of grass. Mysterious and magical things could happen here and in the Knick-Knack Tree Adventures they often do!
The Gambit
Trickletown Gambit – is a complicated place, it is the beating heart of Trickletown Valleys' Crater. Its magic and life giving qualities are controlled by one of the Guardian Treasures of the Crystal Universe – The Crystal Orbs.
Below are some of the wonders and secrets of Trickletown Gambit:
The Gambit – Inside a circular road named Inner Street, at the very centre of Trickletown Valleys' Crater, the Fuddles left an area of grass they called 'The Gambit'.
It was a place they could go to think, but The Gambit was so much more than just an area of grass. Mysterious and magical things could happen here and in the Knick-Knack Tree Adventures they often do!
Million Wiggle Fish Pond – home of the Million Wiggle Fish, is at the very centre of Trickletown Valleys' Crater. Like everything else in Trickletown its appearance disguises its true identity and meaning. Deep beneath the surface waters are hidden caverns, tunnels and labyrinths. Everything here is made of living granite and can change its shape to whatever it liked. In times of danger, the surface of the fish pond can be covered by an impregnable mosaic surface. This complex mechanism can be activated by placing the Hour Glass Key in the Key Stone. Everything is then locked in place when the wearer of the Emerald Ring, places its jewel from a ring on their finger into the slot in the Hour Glass Key. The source of each of Trickletown's rivers begin among the complex currents formed beneath the fish pond and seven sluices evenly spaced around its edge, allows the Million Wiggle Fish to freely swim in the river waters, when they wish.
Rainbow Walk – around the Million Wiggle Fish Pond at the centre of Trickletown's Gambit, the fuddles created something spectacular. They mixed up the rainbow pebbles (a Guardian Treasuer), creating a spiral pathway ... they create rainbows the Fuddles can follow to their heart's desire. The Fuddles call this place Rainbow Walk. Information coming soon
Key Stone – Cast from Granite lava rock, extracted from the fiery furnace of Indigo Basin. The Key Stone stands on Lock Street near Key Stone Cottage on Trickletown's Gambit. Together, with its components, the Hour Glass Key and the Emerald Ring, It is used to lock the protective mosaic surface above the Million Wiggle Fish Pond.
Hour Glass Key – Sizing Stone Crystal was mined from the crest of Old Man Moon, to make this magical Key. It has its own memory and fits itself perfectly into its slot in the Granit Key Stone. When it is linked with the Emerald Ring, it seals a protective mosaic surface over the Million Wiggle Fish Pond.
Emerald Ring – Crafted by the Little Brown Elves in Old Man Moon's Sack of Secrets, the Emerald Ring fits perfectly into its slot in the Hour Glass Key. The ring is worn by the most important Fuddle living in Trickletown, who's job it is to decide when the Million Wiggle Fish Pond needs protecting.
Key Stone Cottage – A cottage all on its own on Trickletown's Gambit. This is where the most important Fuddle in Trickletown lives (The wearer of the Emerald Ring ). Presently it is home to the What-Nott family - Mr. What'Nott is the most important Fuddle living in Trickletown. He lives here with his wife Patricia, his daughter Casey and his 9 year old son Willey What'Nott. Willey is our Knick-Knack Tree Adventurer.
The Wedding Cake – Every year in Trickletown Valleys' Crater, the inhabitants of Trickletown's seven Hamlets, compete against each other for the Trickletown Valleys' Games Grand Trophy. The open game is a race to the top of the Wedding Cake. The Wedding Cake appears when giant corks are thrust into the openings of the 'this & that pipes', causing the pressures inside Trickletown Labyrinths to rise and force the tears of the wedding cake high into the air.
Lock Street – Usually safe to walk down! Lock street leads across Trickletown's Gambit to Key Stone Cottage, the Granite Key Stone and the Million Wiggle Fish Pond. It is used for ceremonial purposes, but beware! The surface of Lock Street conceals its own secrets and may not only lead you directly to the Million Wiggle Fish Pond!
The Seven Oak Trees – To the visitor the seven oak trees look to shade the Million Wiggle Fish Pond and the seven Wiggly-Fish Fisherman who sit beneath them. However, the treasures set inside these trees are what makes The Gambit work. The seven Crystal Orbs are hidden here, protected by the Crystal Guardians.
Crystal Guardians – are formidable 'Shape Shifting Warriors', who's task is to protect the Guardian Treasures of the Crystal Universe. There are seven of them, each one hiding in plain site, in one of The Seven Oak Trees, around the Million Wiggle Fish Pond at the centre of Trickletown. They respond to the sensory powers of the Rainbow Fish. Together, the Crystal Guardians are formidable, and they will need to be now that the DANGERIOUS 'MISTS OF TIME' know where the Guardian Treasures have been hidden.
Wiggly-Fish Fisherman – sit in the shade of each of The Seven Oak Trees, around the Million Wiggle Fish Pond at the centre of Trickletown. These seven fisherman look innocuous enough, just casually sitting on their baskets and occasionally casting out their lines into one of Trickletown's rivers. However, they are hiding a secret, hidden in their basket! They are not really fisherman at all, they are here to protect the oak trees and whatever is hidden inside them! They sit here day and night ... or so it would seem ... unless you know the secret about what is hidden inside the basket!
Trickletown Labyrinths – are the empty tunnels left by the Knick-Knack Trees roots when Trickletown Valleys' Crater was transformed. Now that the centre of the crater is alive, thanks to the powers of the Guardian Treasures, these tunnels are now living labyrinths, with minds of their own. They interact with an underground lake. Everything down here is effected by the gravitational pull of Planet Earth's Moon, this causes water to surge around Trickletown's Labyrinths at one particular time every day (5 o'clock), in what the Fuddles call 'The BIG FlUSH!' washing everything inside the labyrinths into the fiery furnace of Indigo Basen. Flames and smoke escape high into the air, as Indigo Basin goes BOOM! So if you do happen to be inside one of Trickletown's Labyrinths at 5 o'clock, you had better start making your escape.
Landrian Labyrinths – these labyrinths protect the only known portal between two parallel universes: The Crystal Universe and our own.
The Crystal Universe – a parallel Universe, living peacefully alongside our own.
We both occupy the same area of space; we are only separated by the dimensions of time.
The Crystal Universe was a peaceful place, the only life was living crystal. Nothing ever died, and so there were no evolutionary battles to cause any conflict. There was no one here to explore the potential of these crystals and make use of them.
Until one day a Spaceflight leaving Planet Earth on a mission to colonise Earth’s Moon, just disappeared!
It had fallen through an unknown portal, travelling back in time, into a different Universe.
These human travellers could find no way back and so began to explore their new home, evolving and learning about their surroundings. They called themselves Fuddles. They colonised ‘Living Crystal Planets’ and became masters of the crystals around them.
The Crystal Planets
The Crystal Planets are made of living granite. The crystals berried deep inside them brings solid rock to life. These planets become characters themselves and together protect the Crystal Universe and the Guardian Treasures from an ancient enemy – The Mists of Time.
There are eight Crystal Planets – one for each colour of the rainbow. They are controlled by one Super-Sense planet, called the Sovereign Planet – in ultimate control of everything.
The Sovereign Planet – The home of Commander Fortior Simul, the ultimate leader of the Crystal Universe and Squadron base for his intergalactic Forces. The Sovereign Planet is an intelligent being, with a complex crystal core, which controls its seven super senses: Sight, Hearing, Smell, Taste, Touch, Insight and Anticipation.
The Red Planet (Red) – With a heart of red crystal, this planets super-sence ability is sight. It is battle ready and will assist the Sovereign Planet in times of Danger!
Planet Fuddle (Orange) – With its orange crystal heart, Planet Fuddle can hear everything. Its current location is beyond Earth's Moon, guarding the gateway between two parallel universes – The Crystal Universe and our own.
Old Man Moon (Yellow) – Insight is Old Man Moon's super-sense, he paddles around the Universe helping others. On his back, he carries the Sack of Secrets – the place where all of our secrets are gathered and kept safe. He has a travelling companion called Dudley - Keeper of Secrets – together they do their best to combat BULLYING!
STOP Bullying each other!
STOP bullying our planet!
The Green Planet (Green) – A green crystal Planet.
This mysterious Green Planet appears to keep all of its secrets to itself! Its super-sense is smell.
Planet Earth (Blue) – With a blue crystal heart of Anticipation, you might consider this familiar planet to be Planet Earth! But would you be right? It lives in our Universe, but where does it really come from, and what can it do?
The Sleeping Planet (Indigo) – Taste
Home of the Pie-Rat Gang - The Sleeping Planet, because of its laid back nature, is notoriously a place where rebel forces tend to congregate.
Its super-sense is Taste and at its heart is an Indigo Crystal.
Earth's Moon (Violet) – Touch
With a violet crystal at its heart, this seemingly insignificant rock is the only planetary object in both the Crystal Universe and our own.
Everything revolves around it.
Its super-sense is Touch, and because of its importance, it will not reveal its true identity to anyone other than a Fuddle!

The Guardian Treasures
Sizing Stones (Guardian Treasure) – Calved from ancient Comets formed when the Universe was born, they guard and grant entrance to any opening they are set in front of. However, they will only grant access to anyone whose intentions are good. If you pass the sizing stones tests, when you step on the surface of the stone - you will shrink to the size of the entrance, and you can walk straight in.
Sack of Secrets (Guardian Treasure) – The place where all of our secrets are gathered and kept safe. This is also the place where Old Man Moon keeps the Tablet of Light and where the Gambit Stones and Sizing Stones are crafted, by an army of Little Brown Elves.
Tablet of Light (Guardian Treasure) – Contains every ray of light which has ever shone or will ever seek to shine. It contains the recordings and secrets of Time. Using it, history can be explored and even changed, but in the wrong hands, this could be extremely dangerous!
The Gambit Stones (Guardian Treasure) – Gambit Stones are calved from ‘The Tablet of Light’. The stones can transfer their extraordinary powers to anything or anyone in the area around them. They manipulate an area of ground at the center of Trickletown, called the Gambit - granite rock, comes alive and can change its shape to whatever is wished. The Gambit Stones are under close protection - Only the author of the Knick-Knack Tree Adventures knows all the answers ...
The Crystal Caldron (Guardian Treasure) – The heart and central core of the Sovereign Planet. A place where enchanted crystals can be formed and then made into mystical and powerful objects.
Rainbow Fish (Guardian Treasure) – There are ten super-sense living crystal, Rainbow Fish. Each one possesses as different sensory power. Thay can magnify these powers by creating a Sensory Globe around them. These globes and resident fish, currently hover above the Million Wiggle Fish Pond, at the centre of Trickletown's Gambit - protecting Trickletown and warning of danger.
Crystal Orbs (Guardian Treasure) – are the life giving crystals to Trickletown's Gambit. Without them nothing would work and Trickletown Valleys' Crater would be just an ordinary crater. Because of their importance, each Crystal Orb has its own guardian to protect it. In times of danger, the Crystal Guardians as they are known, will take their form as they emerge from the bark of each oak tree. The Wiggly-Fish Fisherman sat in front of each oak tree are not really fisherman! They are here to help the Crystal Guardians guard the seven oak trees and the secrets inside them.
The Chest of Treasures (Guardian Treasure) – The Chest is hidden among the Knick-Knack Trees Roots. It is said the Chest contains seven keys, set with mysterious jewels, which together unlock the secrets of the seven streets of Trickletown.
Rainbow Pebbles (Rainbow Walk) (Guardian Treasure) – Cast in the Crystal Caldron, the Rainbow Pebbles pave the seven streets of Trickletown. They come in seven different colours, the colours of the rainbow. Set together in their own individual colours they can manipulate the minds of anyone walking on them, but when mixed up, as they are around the Million Wiggle Fish Pond at the centre of Trickletown's Gambit - they create something spectacular ... they create rainbows the Fuddles can follow to their heart's desire. The Fuddles call this place Rainbow Walk.
