Knick-Knack Tree Adventures
Imagine a Crystal Universe – a parallel Universe, living peacefully alongside our own. We both occupy the same area of space; we are only separated by the dimensions of time.
The Crystal Universe was a peaceful place, life here was made of living crystal. Nothing ever died, and so there were no evolutionary battles to cause any conflict. There was intelligent life, but none with a mind to explore the potential of these crystals and make good use of them.
Until one day a Spaceflight leaving Planet Earth on a mission to colonise Earth’s Moon, just disappeared!
It had fallen through an unknown portal, travelling back in time, into a different Universe.
These human travellers could find no way back and so began to explore their new home, evolving and learning about their surroundings. They colonised 'Living Crystal Planets’ and became masters of the crystals around them.
Calling themselves Fuddles, they created many wonders. The most prized of these were the ‘Guardian Treasures’ – created to protect the Crystal Universe from unwanted visitors!
They knew it might only be a matter of time before someone else stumbled across the portal which had brought them here.
They were right!
Many thousands of years had passed, since the Fuddle's descendants had arrived when a mysterious Mist appeared amongst them – this Mist was dangerous – they were the 'Mists of Time'.
The Mists of Time had a mind of their own, and were on a mission to become masters of the Universe. They had found the Portal around Earth’s Moon and followed the fated spaceship to the Crystal Universe. However, they were clever enough to realise that if they travelled this portal into the future, they could benefit from many thousands of years of evolution – The Guardian Treasures of the Crystal Universe were just what they needed!

The Mists of Time have escaped the Landrian Labyrinths and are heading in your direction. They know you are protecting the Guardian Treasures of the Crystal Universe – You will need to act quickly!

Old Man Moon wasted no time in carrying out his orders, he pulsed through time … Then, using the only escape route possible, he circled Earth’s Moon and sped directly into a parallel Universe – Our own!
Planet Earth was Old Man Moon’s next destination.
What he did when he arrived here and how he achieved it is complicated, but he hid the Guardian Treasures so well, that the location of many of them remains a mystery to this very day.
Old Man Moon created a place of legend ...
A place that everyone began to talk about.
The place where The Knick-Knack Tree Adventures all begin, Trickletown Valleys Crater.
Hidden from view in a different time zone, completely invisible to anyone living on planet earth, Trickletown Valleys' Crater began to thrive. It became populated by Fuddles – travellers from the crystal universe. Fuddles are human like us, but had evolved to be slightly different and never forget a single thing they are told.
The fuddles arrived in Trickletown Valleys Crater from beyond the Sizing Stones, magical stones which guard the entrances to tunnels and passageways, leading forwards and backwards through time – this is where many of the Guardian Treasures have been hidden.
The fuddles built Trickletown - seven hamlets divided by seven rivers surrounding a magical area of ground they called The Gambit.

They began to sell fish – Million Wiggle Fish, colourful, intelligent fish with powers of their own – powers so extraordinary, everyone in the universe wanted them. The fish can help you travel through time; they can take you to places we can only dream about; and they can warn you and guide you away from danger … In fact, one or another of these colourful fish can do almost anything you imagined. Each type was a different colour of the rainbow.
Life in Trickletown Valleys' Crater became great fun. The inhabitants of Trickletown appeared safe in their brand-new homes. Travellers began to arrive from every corner of the universe to purchase the Million Wiggle Fish.
These travellers began telling of their adventures as they gathered around a magnificent living tree – The Knick-Knack Tree, and as each new story was told, a brand-new Knick-Knack was hung on the tree's branches. It reminded everyone of the story. Soon the tree was covered from root to twig in a glorious collection of Knick-Knacks.
A tiny elf-like character called Knicky-Knacky began telling the stories of these adventures. He lived in a cosy den among the tree's roots, and whenever a Knick-Knack was chosen, he would appear from his den and begin to tell everyone its story ...
For many hundreds of years, Trickletown Valleys’ Crater thrived. The 'Guardian Treasures' appeared to be safe! Looked after by the fuddles and closely guarded by seven living Crystal Planets, secretly orbiting around Earth's Moon. Four of these planets remain invisible from Planet Earth because they exist only in the Crystal Universe.
Then one morning everything changed!
The Fuddles awoke to find the crater surrounded by mist! There was no way in or out of it – Trickletown Valleys Crater was lost in time!
The Mists of Time – an ancient enemy, had surrounded the crater, they wanted the Guardian Treasures of the Crystal Universe for themselves and were prepared to do anything to get hold of them.
The Mists of Time were dangerous. They had a mine of their own. The mist inside them was so thick, that the past, the present, and the future tangled together. You could soon get lost, and there are many Fuddles who have entered them who have never been seen again.
Willey What'Nott becomes Trickletown's hero as he and his friends travel through time, risking everything to help protect Trickletown, Planet Earth and the Guardian Treasures from the Mists of Time.
The Knick-Knack Tree Adventures will tell the stories about the Time-Traveling Adventurers who tried to help.
Reading their stories, you will learn all there is to know about the Crystal Universe, The Guardian Treasures and the mysteries and secrets surrounding Trickletown Valleys’ Crater.
The shielding powers of the Guardian Treasures and the Crystal Planets are together so powerful that the Mists of Time cannot get near them. However, The Mists of Time are powerful too, and growing stronger! They were secretly searching through Planet Earth’s history, gathering ancient armies to help them steel the Guardian Treasures.
The first Knick-Knack Tree Adventure to be told is, 'Trouble in Trickletown'.
Now, there is a stalemate!
